Specializing in portraiture and commercial work, Kaitlyn’s focus is on capturing the beauty in all of life's moments - both big and small.

Kaitlyn has always loved portraiture due to her passion for understanding and representing all people. She believes her role as a photographer is to capture her subjects as their most authentic selves, and she loves using props, locations, and clothing that are meaningful to her subjects. She nor her camera judge; they’d just like the chance to get to know you!

Although her primary focus started as portraiture, she has recently been called to product photography, and has found inspiration and excitement in bringing everyday items to life. Whether she’s photographing families, individuals, or products, each image has the opportunity to showcase unique beauty and resonate with its audience.

Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. She lives in Sherman Hill, Des Moines, with her partner and their many plants.
